1. What we collect

When you use Phonics Mentor we collect: your name, email, and phone number; your child's first name, age, and learning progress (attendance, class feedback, homework, badges, and reports); payment records processed via Razorpay (we never store your card details); and basic technical data such as device and log information needed to run the service.

2. Children's data

Accounts are created and controlled only by parents or legal guardians. We collect the minimum information about your child needed to run classes and track learning progress, and we use it only for that purpose. We never display your child's information publicly, never use it for advertising, and never sell it.

3. How we use information

We use your information to schedule and deliver classes, send class reminders and important notifications, process fees and invoices, prepare progress reports, run the referral programme you opt into, and improve the service. Progress reports are drafted with AI assistance using your child's class feedback data and are always reviewed by our teaching team before you see them.

4. Sharing

We share data only with service providers needed to run Phonics Mentor — such as Razorpay (payments), our hosting provider, email delivery services, Google (Meet for live classes, and AI services for drafting reports), and only to the extent required. We may disclose information if required by law. We do not sell personal data to anyone.

5. Storage and security

Data is stored on secured servers with access limited to authorised personnel. Passwords are stored in hashed form. While no online service can guarantee absolute security, we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

6. Retention and your rights

We keep your data while your account is active and as needed for legal and accounting purposes (for example, invoices). You may ask us to correct your information, export it, or delete your account and your child's data — write to us and we will act on verified requests within a reasonable time, subject to records we must retain by law.

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies — for login sessions and security. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
